Tampa Bay Custom Pool Builder

Tampa Bay Custom Pool Builder

The Tampa Bay area is one of Florida's most active markets for custom pool construction and renovation, and Plankey Custom Pools is based in Pinellas County — the heart of the Tampa Bay region. We design and build inground pools and outdoor living spaces for homeowners across Pinellas County and the surrounding Tampa Bay communities.

As a Florida licensed swimming pool and spa contractor, we coordinate specialized trade professionals through one accountable project lead. Each phase of construction — excavation, steel, shotcrete, tile and coping, decking, and finish — is handled by crews focused on that stage, with documented quality checks from design through startup.

New Pool Construction Across Tampa Bay

A new pool in the Tampa Bay area starts with a 3D design and a detailed, itemized proposal. We review your backyard dimensions, soil conditions, and the features you envision — integrated spillover spas, Baja sun shelves, glass waterline tile, and ivory travertine decking — so you see every cost before construction begins.

Because we bring in specialized trade professionals for each stage, our builds run smoother than traditional single-crew builders, with one organized construction schedule and one point of contact managing your timeline.

Pool Renovation & Resurfacing Across Tampa Bay

Many pools across the Tampa Bay area were built decades ago and are ready for modernization. We offer complete renovation and resurfacing — PebbleTec and quartz interior finishes, new glass tile and travertine coping, decking and lanai extensions, and modern equipment like variable-speed pumps, salt systems, smart automation, and LED lighting.

We provide a detailed itemized proposal after an on-site consultation so you see every cost before any work begins.

Serving Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay Area

Plankey Custom Pools serves homeowners across Pinellas County — including St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, and Dunedin — and the broader Tampa Bay region. We document allowances, exclusions, and approved change orders in writing and never promise a fixed numerical timeline.

Project schedules vary based on design, permitting, engineering, inspections, site access, weather, material availability, and approved scope changes. Plankey provides a project-specific schedule after reviewing the property and final scope. Pool financing options are available through our partnership with Lyon Financial.
